On a 6.0 trans its all in the trans shift stragities as to the trans living. For that reason I'd get a SCT with Cales tunes from BTS.

The trans behind the 6.4 has been beefed up a little bit by Ford. Even though it is still called a 5R110W, it has some updated parts that are not in the 6.0 version...

Provided the trans is in good shape, you have proper trans tuning and you don't abuse it, the stock trans can take mid 400's. But if you feel the need to abuse it constantly, you can kill the trans with just stock power.....
