I dont understand why thats the case....Compared to custom tunes, the other programmers you mentioned are crap.

Do a search for the spartan tunes. Though the tranny tunning isn't as good the power is there. It will give you a comparison of different tuners. With the sct you have the ability to get a different tuner style. For instance one guy might make a powerful tune that shifts good while a different guy can tweak out more performance

Other than I have never tried anyother tuners besides banks 6 gun. Why do so many people say they are so bad? I have the 6 gun and my truck runs like a raped date! It has power for days, shifts very good, and if I keep my foot out of it I get 20-22 mpg on the highway at 80. Maybe I am a special case but I would say the banks system is pretty good. BTW for my truck the 6 gun includes the the trans command, it's built into the programing. :-)

Love my SCT X3...tuned by Eric at Innovative. Never had any major issues and Eric tweaked anything I asked. (Had an issue when I did the firmware update but SCT took care of it in a hurry)
Are you giving all the correct info. All mechanical devices work differently than the next but, I have never heard anyone being that unpleasant. Too each s own though. Good luck man..the main reason I went with my set up was for driveabililty and reliability. Once again, good luck and let us know what you find that gets your goose.

No offense taken. Sorry you've had trouble. I'm sure there is an underlying issue that needs to be worked out. It could be anything from a corrupted flash to an issue with a sensor. The tunes flat out work(we've been tuning these trucks since they rolled off the line), so if there is an issue we can normally help you work through it.

If you want to figure it out, just fire off an email to me.

Eric

Did you ever have any other product on this vehicle before getting the X3 with Innovative tunes?

There are a few programmers that don't fully return the vehicles back to original programming. They always cause issues and in some cases, the trucks never run as well as they should. A factory Ford reflash is about the only way to correct it.

That is true on the other programmers not returning the vehicle back to stock , he can take it to Ford and get the reflashed done or what we can do is get the stock and flash file and see if the stock file is corrupt and if it is we can make a recovery stock file for that vehicle to take care of the corrupt file.
