Predator 100 HP Mode

Anyone running their predator on the 100 HP Mode??? If so any problems or mods you did??? I just switched mine to the 100 HP, since I got it a year ago I have only had it in the 65 HP and the tow mode. I have been driving it easy since I just did it at the station just before I got off this evening. Maybe tomarrow I will get on it if the shifts have smoothed out.

Re: Predator 100 HP Mode

Depending on how hard you drive it, your truck could become a prom night puking queen. I had a Predator, and it pretty much did that......

Re: Predator 100 HP Mode

I'm running just an Edhe/Attitude now, if I keep the coolant level low, i can run her to 25 psi without puking. i am still not scheduled to have the headstuds put in, but i am trying. i have been talking various peoplke, and it would seem that o-ringing the heads is really the way to go....if u do head studs. So, assuming i go the whole 9 yards, i shouldn't be puking...ever.

Re: Predator 100 HP Mode

I naver had one issue with mine even with towing. However I switched to the SCT w/ Extreme and 3k miles later I had egr cooler, thermostat and new head gaskets put on. Not sure which tuner did it but they warrantied it. Since then no issues.

Re: Predator 100 HP Mode

I didn't keep my fuel mileage.. sorry. But I did notice that on a longer trip i would get better mileage. I have no idea how more, but I know highway i got better mileage than stock running 100Hp.

All I can speak to is the 03 I traded in after 50K miles...
but the 100HP mode was for racing only....
not for any safety reasons...
just that I would USE it too much and the mpg dropped significantly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used the 65hp mode 99% of the time...

Re: Predator 100 HP Mode

If you view my mileage reports you'll see there is little difference. I drive the same route to work every day and the same to an from towing. From the intake, exhaust, each programmer and tailgates down I have done it all. With all my mods I am seeing 25-30 miles more a tank.

Re: Predator 100 HP Mode

I had the predator in for about a month on 100 hp mode. Got an extra 100 miles out of a tank on the highway. The truck was wicked fast, but it always felt like something was on the verge of breaking. RPM's would run way up and 3rd gear would throw you in the seat. Took out the predator and put the new bullydog in. Lost quite a bit of mileage with it but it feels a lot safer and still got lots of power.

Re: Predator 100 HP Mode

When predator first released their "tuners" they were having trouble with rough shifting and the truck being locked into gear. take the predator to the nearest dealer and have them update the tuner.
