can someone tell which one of these is better i have the edge juice but have went through 2 trannys so i am going to sell it and get a programmer just dont know which one has anybody had any tranny problems with either one
Ive used both. Both have good shifting as well as good power. I personally feel that the pred is a little stronger. But lik ei said they both have good power and shifting.

if you wanna keep your tranny get a ts135 or a 165. the super chips will not have enough power for ya. you will be disapointed. check my sig.

You will be much safer with either one over the Edge.
To my knowledge ALL programmers do lave a trace footprint, now way around it. That's the bad, the good is most tech's haven't a clue how to look for it or to know what they are looking at when they see it. We sell more Edge and van Aaken as they can't lave any info as they are plugged in post turbo, but the programmers are getting very popular as far as a percentage of sales here because of their ease of installation etc.

How'd the Van Aaken box run for you? I heard you and Rick talking about them a while back. I was just wondering how it compared to the Edge. I'm sure the Edge is hard to beat. They must be pretty good with as many of them are sold.

I've had the SC 1704 Ver.01 now for about 5 months. Never had a problem solo or pulling my 5er. Shifts great and way more power even in the tow mode. Don't know what your problem was or is.

I think he is refering to the fact that the Superchips tuner doesn't make anywhere near the claimed power gains, at least peak power gains. The modules and Predator seem to make the rear wheel power they claim.
Why would you tell anyone that has had trany problems, that doesn't want and more problems, To get a ts 135 or 165? I don't understand. TS Tells you that you have to upgrade the tramy. Mine shifted perfect, ran perfect, and was all around perfect. But, it still took its toll on my trany. just my 00.02

Ive tryed the quad 160, did'nt like it, power seems to come on high in the rpm range, and had some problems with idle surging. Tryed the van-aaken & edge, very comparable except on my truck the van-aaken seems to run about a 100 hotter (not much). It also seems to have maybe a little more bottom end than the edge, but time will tell I've only had the edge for a day. Hope that helps!

IMHO that can get pretty expensive trying out all those programmers to see which one is the best for you. I researched first and found that the Super Chip would do me best "or the Predator" but the SC was $45 cheaper. I've had no problems and it shifts fine and has awesome power. I don't even use the HP mode.

From the feedback that I normally recieve, I'll comment on the different flashers available. Superchips has a decent engine program, but doesn't make as much power. The shifting works fine for the power that's offered. The Predator seems a little more aggressive, yet the shifting can be erratic depending on conditions. The SCT(Superchips Custom Tuning) Flasher, not to be confused with standard Superchips, has a basic engine program making similar power to the Predator and the transmission program is the best we've seen. The trans program will adapt as you make more power also. Another benefit is the SCT can be custom tuned to your specifications. Hope this helps.
