So I bought a fairly new livewire off ebay. Followed the instructions and pulled it into my obd2 port on my truck and followed the prompts; the livewire asked me to turn my ignition on, I did that; then it asked me to turn it off a few mins later. It gave me the strategy code and then it stated that my vehicle is not supported.
The unit is unlocked and has 5 unlocks remaining; also has the latest firmware. Can anyone help? The livewire is suppose to have 3 pre-loaded maps, which I planned to use until I bought custom maps from IDP.

If that does not help you are likely to find better help with the SCT forums. You may be able to search and get what you are looking for there without registering. I also believe their call in tech support stays with the device, but not sure. SCT Performance - Powered by vBulletin

well i think i remember reading that fords newest flash hasnt been 'broken"yet and its causing some havoc with the 6.0s.someone posted a similar prob regarding their banks(i think).basically your tuner does not have the appropiate programming to sync up witht he new programming ford has put out.was your truck reflashed recently?

Yes it was reflashed recently; last month to be exact.

Got it all straightened out; gave my strategy code to IDP aka Eric; he wrote me 3 custom maps (xtreme street/race & street); I loaded them on and we are good to go. The damn truck is fast as **** on the tunes; I just need to watch it and do my arp headstuds before I nail it. Thats the next plan.

SCT has a file that fixes the preloaded strategy tunes to add support for VXCF9, just get in touch with Tech Support. Just thought I'd throw that out there. The full tune revision available from their site does not yet support that strategy.
