darsey715 Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Posts: 1,121 My Photos: (3) Feedback Score: 0 reviews	matt, the 'turbo silencer ring' is a 'ring' that is on the intake side of your turbo. people remove it because they claim more whistle. I have heard both sides, that is increased whistle but that is also didn't increase whistle. I've had my turbo out twice and havent' done it, my my friend/tech said the hell with it cuz it can affect boost. which is already too high for me at 36! haha.
