Ram Air

I spent alot of time researching "ram air intakes" and found alot of good info on how the stock intake can handle a load of up to 500HP and decided to the "zoodad" mod. Not sure where the "zoodad" came from or means but it is just like any "ram air intake" on the market minus a high flow, multi-layer filter. If you look at the way the stock vs. aftermarket filters are setup, they look almost the same. I've had intake on other diesel engines and I believe no other stock intake compares to that of the 6.0L. It is the highest flowing stock intake of all the manufacturers. If you have own anything other than Ford you would know what I mean.

First I cut a rectangular hole, then I needed to find a way to keep debris from entering the intake housing and getting to the filter. There are several sites that sell a "zoodad" screen but I went to Lowes and purchased a screen for 4.95 and cut it to fit the hole I cut. Then I sprayed it with primer (covering the screen) then I screwed it to the radiator housing.

Job Complete. If the screen ever was to break or get clogged it would be very easy to replace.

Fwiw I did the zoodad over a year ago. Cut as much as would be benifical and I didn't use a screen. I haven had any issues by not using the screen. I do admit it does dress it up a bith though
