Road Lights

Had an 03 F-250 7.3 and recently traded for an 05 F-350 6.0 and found F--D had really cheapened the truck such as no road lights, fender well skirts, hood blanket and the list goes on. One I smiled at when I noticed the difference was the esof. I now have the manual shift on the floor and the F--D manual hubs.

Back to the roadlight question. We have a lot of icy road conditions in the winter and I will miss the roadlights. Does someone make a kit that is plug and play. I notice a couple of unused pairs of nuts behind the bumper where the the roadlights would normally be.

It is nice to be in the new forum and as always thanks in advance for reading my post and the knowledge you share!

Re: Road Lights

No John Boy, not a F--D attack a legitamate question, does F--D make a kit for the roadlights on the 05 are there after market kits available? Road/Fog are synonamous only the lense color makes the difference. Anyway the two lights in front on either side of the front License plate.

The other comments were my observations between the 03 7.3 and the 05 6.0 same models except the 05 is an F-350.

Have a great day!

Re: Road Lights

Ford didn't "cheapen" your F-350 by not installing "roadlights", you simply purchased one that does not have them. They are an option and not all trucks will have them, the good news, however, is that you can easily install them with plug-and-play parts available at your local dealer. Or, if it was me, I would take the money you saved by purchasing a truck w/o the lights, and put it towards a set that will be much brighter, ie more useful, than the stockers...Mine has the oem's, and they work great if I wanted to see something that is 3 feet in front of the truck..
