SCT ??

Will any used SCT for a 6.0 work on my '04 ? I have noticed a few for sale on here and some list a computer code. If they are code specific, how do I check to see what code I have.

You can buy one, just make sure they unlock the sct before sending it to you. The code they list is for the tunes they have. So if your code for your computer is diffrent, you will need your own tunes, or pay like $65 for a tune reflash.

How do I find out what my computer code is ? Does unlocking the sct open the codes to change to what ever my code is ?

The code is called a strategy. You plug it in to the obdII port and click "read strategy" It will give you a code that starts with VX......... Then you take that call a sct dealear like Innovative or ELITE and ask for some tunes. When someone sells one that has been used they have to unlock it, because there code is stored.
Foe example, I had a code stock we will call it "code 1" I then had a reflash that changed it to "code 2" I then loaded my new tunes that are progrmamed to "code 2" when I returned it to stock, It put the "code 1" stock file back on. Because I forgot to unlock it.
But If they forget to unlock it. You should be able with no problem.
I say make sure you get it unlocked by them, because you will be so excited that you will forget to do it yourself.
