SCT/Liveload question

I ordered some new tunes today from Innovative and got the Liveload software, etc. It wont let me unlock the SCT because it says "error unit is locked but hasn't been returned to stock" It was on my 04 6.0L and it has been returned to stock and now I want to use it on the 05 I just bought. How do I fix this? Since Im getting all new tunes can I just press the button that says "erase device" and then install the new tunes?

I thought the units can only be mated to one truck at a time; I don't know if returning truck 1 to stock un-mates you from it or if you need to get a "key" from Innovative. Anyone?

if you really returned the first truck to stock it should work...

Plug your SCT into the orginal truck and navigate to "Device Info" hit select and see if it says aftermarket or stock next to: "Stat:" That will tell you if you really returned it to stock.

Of course that normally means the truck wasn't returned to stock. However, in your case it was. I haven't run across that issue, but I'd try to give SCT Tech Support a call and see if they know of a simple resolution. http://www.sctflash.com

Worst case, it'll have to go back to SCT to be unmarried (I wonder if Divorced is a better term for that? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] ) from the vehicle.
