sct xcal 11 questions

wil it hurt to raise the idle speed in the cold for better warm up. i usually wait 5-10 min before runnng my truck in the morning i was hoping with greater idle speed it would heat up faster.

Re: sct xcal 11 questions

Raising the idle will help with warming up. When cold all of the fuel isn't burned. Keith

Re: sct xcal 11 questions

when i stop to turn my truck off, i like to wait a minute or so is it bad for the turbo since my truck is at 9750 rpm idle.

9750?!? just kiddin man. Thats fine to let it run, I have a turbo timer on mine that runs for 3 minutes right now. My idle isnt set quite that high, but I do have it bumped up.

Re: sct xcal 11 questions

i bet you were thinking damn that doesnt sound right. i turned it back down because it seemed to be to jumpy. plus it is getting into the 50s this week. so no need to plug it in or set the idle higher. thinks for your help!

Mine after about 3 -4 min goes up to about 1000-1100 rpm on its own if it is 40 degrees or colder.
