SCT with YCR4 PMC

I was wondering if you are happy with SCT and what level you normally run?

Is there issues with this PMC?

Who has the better tune?

I have an 05 PSD 4x4 CC longbed and looking to buy either SCT and some guages or Edge Plat with Attitude.

Let me know your thoughts on this.

Any tuners running holiday special packages right now?

YCR4 is a decent code. It's an earlier 05 code, but works well. We don't recommend PI on this code, as it's missing a couple of the necessary tables. Give us a call and we can hook you up. Thx.

I have the same PCM code with the extreme race tune. i have run 8.90 in the 1/8 mile and 9.0 consistently. I have been very happy with the tunes from ID and they are very informative. I have only added a aftermarket intake,no exhaust yet. I was thinking of adding a small shot of nitrous?? What are ID's thought on that? What other mods are needed for the nitrous? I'd stick with a 125 shot or less with the stock fuel system and the truck will run great. We see about a .5 second decrease in 1/4 mile time with a 100hp shot on a stock truck, Xtreme, and a turbo back.

I love my PI have than turn it off at 1,000 RPM. I flashed mine Back to stock, wasn't running that good in the cold weather. It would Stumble under acceleration. By the way ERIC had me update my code from year ycr4 get my Pl to work.

On most trucks it works great, it's more of a disclaimer that you could possibly hear a little of the normal "chatter" at times.

I have heard alot of guys talking up the water/methanol injection? Do you have any input on that?

Water Meth does the trick as long as you don't go crazy on the ratio. We recommend around a 25% mix. I do have customers running higher mixtures of Menthanol for racing, but you have to be careful.

There's a video posted on here with "SlowFord" racing against another diesel. I'll have to dig up the link.

Both are running the same program. SlowFord is running a 100hp shot of N20 and the other is running a 50/50 mix of water/meth and some propane. The n20 truck ran a 12.9 and the other truck ran a 13.1 w/ a bit more mph. So overall, I think N20 is the best bang for the buck and a bit safer if you keep it around a 100-125hp dry shot.
