something odd with SCT...anyone else?

I've been running the Extreme file for about a week with no probs...and it's a freakin blast too.
Today I pulled a big trailer from Mobile to Houston so I installed the Tow file...came all the way home problem free.
When I got home I un-installed the Tow file so I could re-install the Extreme file....it ruturned the truck to stock but when I try to get to Extreme it just keeps displaying "return to stock"....won't let me at anything else.
This happened to anyone else?
Should I disconnect the batteries for a while and try again?
I'd rather not if I don't have too since I have a very extensive stereo system and it takes about an hour to reprogram the head unit when it loses power.
