I e-mail Superchips and asked them when they would have a Tuner out for the 6.0. They said in May, but would not give any specifics.

I like the idea of a tuner. The 1705 for the 7.3 was supposed to be pretty good. I was hoping that they would put out something similar for the 6.0. Just curious how they can know that they are going to be ready, this far out?

I had a 1700 on my 02 and I probably sold 6 of them just by my recomendation to my friends. If the Diablo ever does what it claimed it was going to do it will be cool, but SC will have something similar as well.

Superchips (may not talk about it much yet) supposedly have mastered being the first to "fully control" the 6.0 with great results. The delay is the same as with the programmer for the new 3v 5.4 gasser, and that's the programmer itself. They are still working on the programmer as the hardware for CAN is much more involved.
I'm told you can get the programming but you send them your ECM and they will flash it. Once the Programmer is out you can get a great deal on it.
Numbers I was told, and remember coming from me it's hear-say , they saw 83 rwhp gain and about 200HP peak in the upper RPM range where a stock 6.0's power "really falls off".
So what does all that mean, it's going to be several months for the programmer to come out.

I talked to Superchips in August, and they said October or November 2003. I talked to them in November and they said February 2004. Now we're waiting until May???????
I really liked my Superchip 1705 for my 99.5 7.3L because I could "deprogram" the truck before I went in for service. Now I hear the techies can detect a programmer during diagnostics, but cannot detect a module. In essence they do the same thing, I think. The module is generally higher priced than the programmer........how do you decide????????
As it turns out, my dealer is "Mod friendly". For now I have all the power I will ever need, but not all the power I will ever want.......

Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't they detect the use / removal of the 1700 or 1705 programmers? I never heard a word out of them when I would remove it and take my truck in.

Supposedly (see how I keep that disclaimer ) they just completed about 2-3 weeks ago, what they feel is "full control" programming. SO next is getting that programming in the hands of, us. We'll see how it turns out.....

They have it out but not available to us yet. Talked to a dealer about it and they are testing it know. Superchips said march/April when i asked about it.Had one on the 7.3 and loved it, traded for a 2003 6.0 and wonder if I made a bad choice. Time will tell. I am waiting for the superchips to come out.
