Superchip (help)

I am a little confused,my engine build date is july 25/03 and my truck build date is 8/03.Superchip(1704)is for trucks with a build date 9/29/03 and later.Will I be good to go or do i have to do anything special in order to run this programmer. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]

I believe you need a flash to be current and then your good to go with the super tuner.

Has your truck been flashed? I believe you need to have had at least the october flash to run that. If yours has never been flashed, you'll have to get it done for that programmer.

jward and Barrett are both right...it's the flash date that matters, not the build date.

SuperChips original advertising for the 1704 stated that it needed to be a 2004 truck built after 9/29/03. Even before the release of the unit they added the 2003 trucks as well, but only for those with the October PCM flash or later. If you have had your truck in to the dealership for computer updates since October, you are probably already updated.

The last time I was in they pulled an oasis on my truck,and they told me that i was up to date and there were no flashes at that time.That was only a few month ago. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]
