Tow/Haul light flashes...truck shifting really bad

Light started flashing when I put cruise on. The truck started bucking...pulled over turned truck off and back on. Worked fine for another couple of hrs. Then did it again. Anyone had problems with this and know how to fix it? Called Edge they said they hadn't heard about it before?

04bluestroke,

As a general rule of thumb is the shifter light flashes on and off it's a tranny problem. If you have a buddy with a Predator or other scanner have them pull codes and we what you find.

How many people on this site have blown trannys with the Edge/Attitude's help? And Edge says they have never heard of the blinking light syndrom.

WOW...I am jerking it all out tomarrow...think I'm going to try the Quad 160 and see what happens. If all goes wrong guess its time to call ATS.

Re: Tow/Haul light flashes...truck shifting really bad

Mine did the same thing (totally stock) at about 4000miles. Dealer replaced main control valve assembly and bad shift solenoids. Known problem - supplier supplied bad solenoids. Don't panic yet - always time to panic later.
