Transmission Temperature Sensor Location

In the process of changing my coolant, I got sidetracked and forgot to disconnect the batteries before removing the starter to get access to the passenger side block drain plug. Needless to say it only took one good spark to remind me to disconnect the batteries.

Now to my problem- I have my Evolution set to monitor transmission temperature. After hooking everything back up, it appears I have blown the transmission temperature sensor, as my Evolution now say N/A for the transmission temp. Does anyone know where the transmission temperature sensor is located? Anything else I may have blown in my moment of stupidity?

Thanks..

IIRC, you have to drop the pan to get to the the factory transmission temp sensor.

Noticed my Evolution says N/A for the transmission temp, but the factory transmission temp gauge still seems to be working fine. Why does the factory one appear to be working fine, while the Evolution is one is out?

Thanks....

Don't have a clue. I'd suggest you call Edge and ask them.

Trans temp should be avalible thru the 0bd2 port. With analog gauges you remove a plug in the case.

Did you get this figured out just happened to me. Just have to unplug the Edge connector from the PCM plugin with the key off and plug it back in. The Edges are powered up at all times even with the key off even though they don't appear to be. A spike in the electrical system drives them a little crazy. A good idea is before doing and battery disconects or electrical work is to uplug the edge first.

I just use my for gauges but would hate to loose it if you had power program you would have a problem.
