turbo-back or cat-back?

Wanting to put an exhaust on my 04 6.0 CC LB and wanted to know if there is a big difference between the two. It seems like the cat would be much easier to do, but I want the best performance. The truck is stock and it is mainly used for towing. Will I see any improvement over stock?
Thanks

Re: turbo-back or cat-back?

You will see an EGT drop along with better sound. You can also get longer durability if you choose better grades of material.

Turbo back is more difficult, but if you want the maximum EGT drop, that's the best way to go.

Re: turbo-back or cat-back?

Just remember not to loose the cat for a legal truck.

A fair number go with a 3 1/2" down pipe, cat, & 4" back w/out muffler. The OEM down pipe is ***** to get out & a 4" replacement is tough to get back in.
