turbo back dppi system

I had the same problem as it turned out we took the down pipe out and crushed the firewall where the two body panels come together. that gave the downpipe 1/2 additional clearance. i would bet you a beer that is the problem and the fix...good luck

Re: turbo back dppi system

Commacca,

There shouldn't be any need to bend the firewall on the 6.0's??? We have installed approx 75 of them here ourselves and have never seen that occur. The two piece down pipe needs to be installed as two seperate pieces, what we have seen is the when the down pipe sections are installed and clamped down before the 1st intermediate pipe is installed the weight of the pipe's and it's connection to the hangers will move the down pipe into the engine and or body of the truck. The system has to be loosely installed on the whole truck and then start tightening it up from the turbo back to the tail pipe. Sorry you had a problem, let us know if we can help or whatever.
