turbo running during cruise

I thought ya'll might be able to help me out. With the cruise set at about 60 my turbo is running about 10 psi. Its never ran that high before. I did a couple of starts and hard take-offs and it was not near as powerful the first 2 times but the next 2 - 3 it would gain a little more turbo and shift a little harder ( the first 2 maxed out at 20 psi then with the last 3 finally creeped it to about 28 which is where it usually maxs at). The last 2 barked the tires in 2nd and 3rd. Now the turbo is back to barely on at 60 mph with cruise set. What do you guys think it is, carbon or trash in gas because I ran it a little low the other day. I have the Superchips programmer set on economy but that is about it. Thanks for any suggestions.

Mine has always ran about 7-10 psi on flat highway at 60-65 mph.

Any other mods on the truck other than the superchips? My bone stock truck will run around 10psi when cruising around 80mph. Sadly I can't really recall what it is around 65mph. But I think its around 5-10psi also all depending on load.

That sounds about right, depending on load.

With 10k behind mine and 70mph I am 22psi or so.

5 psi at 1700-1800 rpm at 65. But i have had trips where it takes almost 2000 rpm and 8-10 psi to do 65 - that will usually give me 70-75 mph. I dont know why it changes.

Nah, no other mods I can think of, and it was empty, no load. Like Farm said it does change a little but I'm usually barely pushing 5 psi at 60 ( around 1800 rpm). I guess with my main question I was making sure it wasn't telling me something is gonna go wrong later. Like I said before when I gunned it from the line the pressure would only build to 20 when it usually pushes 28. It took about 3 or 4 attempts to make it bark the tires. Its back to running right now though. I'm back to around 5 psi at 60. Trying to get as much fuel mileage as I can since those oil companies are breaking it off in us. About $3.25 to $3.30 a gal. in Charleston SC. Thanks for the help also.

Just for the heck of it, you might want to clean your EGR valve. Whenever my boost seems off, I check the EGR and it usually needs cleaning.

I have noticed a few events where I seemed to be low on boost pressure. Not sure but you might want to check your intercooler pipes as well, I have noticed more and more oil build up on them lately, and generally see some when I notice the boost is only building to 20psi instead of 25-27 or so. And as stated above possible dirty EGR, thats another thing I am gonna have to look into.
