Re: Volant vs K&N

Of the 2...Volant
If I can suggest another one...Airaid.
In over 2 years mine has passed the white glove test past the filter without fail.

Many others will chime in and tell you to stay stock....so I might as well get that outta the way....since they won't care that's not what you asked. LOL

Re: Volant vs K&N

I talked to Volant today. It does have an 8 ply filter, made by AFE. That would be the PRIMO filter, that comes with the Diesel cool air box. And it does have an enclosed box that draws cool air from the grill area. The K&N is a 4 ply filter.
Ive decided to order one and check it out.

Re: Volant vs K&N

Changing th 7.3 airbox and filter setup made some sense. But I can't see any reason to change the 6.0. The stock filter is the best in the business. Why pay to go backwards in technology and put your warranty at risk?
