Im just looking for a quick response no explanations unless you feel its necessary. I Have a Banks 6 Gun with PDA and I dont feel its up to snuff.
Im also thinking about selling it for an SCT is that assinine?
"Best" is dependent upon what you are looking for........ If it is just a mild bump in performance, then about any of them will work for you and work well. If this is your category, then your Banks unit is as good as any.
If what you seek is all out performance, then there are really only two options... SCT (the most popular) and the Gryphon from Power Hungry Performance. Those are the only two that are available with custom programs...

This is all new to me but, from my understanding SCT "takes" your factory settings from your truck and installs new ones which in return would leave a foot print? Not to mention it plugs in to your ODBii in comparison to the Banks which Im sure you know is ran through your electrical harness and in the ODBii. Does it make any difference and is the SCT as "safe" as the Banks?
No footprint with the SCT. It copies your factory program exactly 100% and returns it just as it was. I recommend custom tuning over the modules for many reasons, the main reason being the transmission tuning.
if anything the sct after returning to stock leaves a code that basically means the battery was disconnected. also the sct is the only tuner that programs the tcm. the sct can be custom tuned for massive hp race tunes 140+ also there are small tunes and tow tunes. pretty much 0hp up to i think 175hp on the upper end studd programs

actually the edge evo and the gryphon programs the trans aswell. I'm sure there are others that due aswell , but as mentioned some do not. They all will more then likely reduce the life expectancy of your head gaskets.
