Where to look for low boost problems?

Ever since I got my truck back from getting the gaskets/studs done at a Ford dealership, I've noticed that my truck was making low boost. At first it wasn't bad just a little bit lower. Now, my truck barely makes 19psi, running on the Elite Instanity file, AFE stg 2 intake, and a straight 4" exhaust. Where should I look to solve this problem? Exhaust leak?

You probably have leaking intercooler boots you can buy new ones for under a couple hundred. Check out the Y pipe boots too. Go around and tighten everything just to make sure that everything is super tight with a flathead screwdriver

I'll check those out tomorow, thanks! Hope this fixes it, could it be sticky turbo vanes? Cause if it's not a loose pipe, that was going to be my next guess. Could the vanes sticking cause the boost to not build?

Usually the vanes either get stuck open or closed. In my case it was stuck open and i was able to make 35-36psi but i had hardly any low end. I would have to get it half throttle to make 5-10psi. So if it was stuck closed i would think you would have no power. You wouldn't be able to build anything over 5-10psi. I would check the intercooler boots and the boots by the intake and turbo, along with the intake elbow boot. Check all of these to make sure they are tight. mine were really loose the last time i checked them so i snugged them all up. I could tell something was wrong with mine when the 03 turbo suddenly had no whistle. New turbo and the jet came back alive! I would check the small stuff maybe even check the filter and the turbine side of the turbo to make sure of no debris in the airfilter or turbo. Also, check the turbine wheel for play in and out and side to side. Do you see any more smoke than normal? Less smoke than normal? Could be egr unless the insanity tune disables it. Could be clogged fuel filter(s), could be fuel pressure dropping from bad fuel pump. Check out the small stuff and get back to us man. Im dying to find out what it is! Hope its something small! I hope this helps you out man!

I'm going to check all the hoses and make sure they're tight tomorow. After that I'll try changing the fuel filters and see what happens. After that, I guess I'll check the turbo vanes. It always has smoked a lot, as my insanity file turns on full fuel at low boost. My turbo does sound a little more quiet though.
