Did the Dieselsite coolant filter kit require any OEM hose cutting or where short hoses provided.

Yes. You will have to cut the heater hose to install the bypass tee. You will also have to cut the return line to degas bottle to install a tee. All hoses and tees needed for installation are provided.

Hmmm... I checked the Dieselsite and it makes a compelling arguement for a coolant filter... Problem is, their system mounts the filter canister where I currently have an ARB Air compressor mounted...

You can mount it anywhere there's room for the mount and the filter with the current kit. At most, you might have to buy some extra hose, a couple feet at most I would think.
