100% vegetable oil for fuel????

Anyone have experience with this?
http://www.greasecar.com/
Sounds great! It suggests not to use in our type of motors but it also shows an older powerstroke running it.

Re: 100% vegetable oil for fuel????

Yes, I have read alot on this. Seems that most Mc Donalds, Wendy's, and such PAY to have their used grease recycled. So in theory... If you work with the manager you could get all the used veggie oil you need, and save the resturant plenty of money as well. The filtering takes some time, as you need to let the oil "settle" for a few days, and then it needs to be filtered VERY well. If you purchase the required "Veggie-Diesel" system, it will connect to your fuel system and you are all set. Good luck!!

Try the new Bio-Diesel and Alternative Fuels forum. It's just getting on it's feet, but there is alot of good info there.
Good luck!

I heard of some other guy doing this here not to long ago. Said his truck smelled like french fries going down the road.

I would be real careful with used grease. Its not 100% Veggie.(hamburgers, chicken, etc)

Re: 100% vegetable oil for fuel????

I saw an article on this today and it got me thinking that this is definately a H3!! of an UPGRADE for the 7.3 or any other black smoke emitting rattletrap . Especially if you can get it for .90 a gallon.
Now that what I call progress.
Lets hear more about it , on which ever Forum it ends up on .
( Some weeks are just more stressful for some then others)
