Got my Excursion tank from the fabricator (Brian Gharst, Oakland CA) and it looks awesome! I will be driving my truck up to redding ca tomorrow to have Shane (Roverhybrids.com) do my veggistroke install. I am so psyched! I will have the truck back next week and will tell you how it runs. Later

can you post a pic of the tank. I just got mine back yesterday and will try to post a pic. My install of the v3 is 90% done. It was a straight forward install that went fast. I made a mistake when I put my switches in the dash. My excursion didnt have enough flat on the dash and the switch bezel does not fit perfectly. Im going to replace the dash piece and move the switches to the fuse cover. Now I have to bolt up the tank and run the hoses and then Im done. The dual fill went in nicely with some cutting. I have to paint it and then put it back. How much was your tank. Mine was $500.00 wholesale price thru my friends marine business. It was suppose to be 650.00 after tax. Now I have to drive around to get the fittings and bolts and rubber mounts for the tank and drill holes. Im looking for an isspro black, black, red pointer fuel level gauge and figure out if it will work with my sender. I also have to figure out what to do with both tank vents.

Sweet looking Tank! Mine is done too, but my fabricator asked that I not post pictures of it just yet. He is in talks with mass producing the tank and asked that I wait 2 weeks before posting pics. On your dual filler, did you have to modify the stock filler area? Could you post some pics of how your fuel lines are routed from the filler to the diesel and veg oil tank? My installer thinks that it is going to be a bear to get good flow with the way it is. Where is your heat exchanger? The one I have is similar to the frybrid in tank HE but not exactly the same. Looks good man, how does it run?

I just finished tonight and it runs great. Ive been working alot and couldnt find time to work on my truck very much. The hardest part was getting the tank bolted up. the tank was blocking access to the bolts so I had to drill and tap plate steel and thread the bolts thru the frame into the threaded plates. It worked great and then I had to fab up brackets for the crossmember mounts because you cant get behind there very well either. Vegistroke did a great job on this kit and I only made one call to jason who picked up right away and answered my question and then it was running. Let me know if you still need info on the install. I had no Idea the tank was going to get so hot.

I got my Excursion back today, and it runs like a champ! The only issue is an SES light that I have now. I have a buddy who will read the code for me on Friday. Ill write a new thread detailing the install and put some pictures up as well. My installer had a hard time getting the fuel filler rigged. How'd you fair?

My filler went in good. I also have an ses light. vegistroke told me it would be there on excursions. I think it comes from the stock fuel pump not running while the engine is running on veg. I dont know why its only the ex, but thats what they said. Have you talked to jason about it.

not yet, I have been working lots of hours lately. Mine is on all the time, whether its running veggi or not. But it only came on after the install. I will have time tomorrow to call about it, after I get the code read.

I like my Edge Evo II, but it does not have text descriptions of all Pcodes, you may need to find a list of the Pxxxx descriptions. I am looking for that list myself. Be sure and have the EGT probe installed, if you do not have one installed already. Mine is very useful.

greasyx I have little 33s on them. I only have a 3 inch lift. I read in an other post that you can loose the ses light if you switch wires around under the hood. Have you read the code yet? can you post some pics of the install and tank. Where did you put your switches. Landyaht radius rods are like ladder bars that cure lots of problems with the weak rear leaf springs on the ex by keeping them from steering the ex with axle wrap and other. they are suppose to make the ex more stable and help it track like a regular truck.

I have posted the details of my install under the thread "Vegistroke excursion install, full story" and have yet to post pictures. I am trying to find time, its my wife's truck and when I am available she is gone I'll probably get them taken tomorrow night, and post by the next day. I found out that one of my shocks has broken loose, and might possible have been like that for a while. Ill post a picture of that as well. The pics will go under the new thread, and will be of all components of the install.
