I live in Vegas too. I just received my bio pro 190. waiting for a pump and centrifuge and I'll be making it myself. Can't wait. Just need to solidly secure some oil. Have people that said they'd let me have it. Just have to get it. I'll keep you posted.

I have been running B100 in my 2006 Ford 6L for over fourteen months with no problems (I make my bio in a poly 40 gallon processor). I did get a better lift pump installed by a mechanic at first, and ran B20 for the first three weeks or so. I have had no problems at all. The guys at JiffyLube always say my truck looks great running on bio.
I live in the high desert of Southern California, so summer temps can average 110° during the day, winter temps can run about 60° (40° - 45° at night). I'm going to install a heated fuel filter soon and want to avoid running any petro/bio blend if I can help it! But my family and I go up to Big Bear about once a month...and temps there are VERY cold.

Unfortunately what the tech told you is true, the 6.0L and I believe the 6.4L are only "validated" for use with B5.
The injector failures may be a result of low fuel pressure related to the pump problem.
Do you have run the truck with B100 for 30K or is that the mileage on the new fuel pump?
Yes, but I believe most American diesel vehicles can run B20 before violating the warranty. Dodge is different, they only accept up to B5, but are known to be very forgiving if you buy from a reputable supplier. With a 6L you do want to upgrade the pump. My injectors are fine so far.
Well, it's been four years now since I first posted here. No problems on B100. Four years straight biodiesel. And I have the 6.0. The only thing is they are finicky with weather. As soon as it drops into the low 60's, it doesn't want to run. The factory fuel filter doesn't want anything to do with it. So I have a stainless steel reuseable fuel and oil filter from Pure Power. Scott's Stainless Filters are just as good. Customer service may be even a bit better. That helped out a ton. Even if using regular diesel. They actually filter. I also have an Artic Fox heat exchanger for when I go to the mountains. For you guys who are in cold weather climates, get in touch with Graydon Blair at Utahbiodieselsupply.com Tell him Joe in Vegas sent you and he may give you a deal as we've become friends. We do a lot of business. He has any and everything you could ever want or need concerning biodiesel. Good luck.

graydon doesn't seem to think 6 leakers are a good engine to run bio. i think it's more that 6.0's aren't a good engine to run any fuel. haha low 60's. that's as warm as it gets here. i'd say a fuel pressure gauge is a mandatory item.
Anyone else out there running B100 or home grown biodeseil on the 6.0L?
I'm making a good gas as far as I can tell: it's clear, viscosity is good, color is good and PH is correct according to all the reference material I've been reading. I've been making it from WVO for about a year now and truck has been running and towing perfectly.
Now my problem is I had a fuel pump die about a year ago. I thought nothing of it, hey $#!^ happens. Well I'm experienceing the same symptoms of a bad fuel pump again and now I'm wondering if my fuel is causing it.
Is there anything in the fuel pump that would react badly to biodiesel?
I replaced my fuel pump with a better one before running any biodiesel. The 6L trucks apparently have issues with the viscosity. No problems with injectors.
Biodiesel has incredibly good cleaning properties. It acts as a detergent and cleans everything it comes in contact with. The only problem is that the sulfur deposits left on your tank and all over the inside of the fuel system becomes dislodge from the walls and clogs your filters. The particles that make it through act like a sandblaster to the screen inside your fuel pump and destroys it. I made the mistake of running B100 in my truck for about six weeks before I learned this painful and expensive lesson. The dealership showed me the pump and how the screen was destroyed.
THAT^^^ is a perfect examle of how the factory fuel and oil filters on every factory car actually do not filter. Look up the difference between "nominal" filtration and "absolute" filtration. You need to go with Absolute rated filters. I use Pure Power reusable stainless steel filters. Scott's Performance makes some as well. There's another brand I see advertised in Diesel Power. But I haven't bought gas in over 4 years. I know exactly the "sand" you're talking about. I found it in my filter, but not a grain over one micron got to see my fuel pump. I haven't bought a fuel or oil filter in over 4 years as well. Whether you drive a diesel or gas, you need to look into this.
