6.0L Powerstroke running on B99

Five days ago I filled up with comercially made B99. When I filled up I was fairly empty since I had been driving with low fuel light on for about 75 miles or so. Yesterday I filled up again and checked my mpg. I am pleased to say that I gained 1.5mpg from running B99. My truck seems to run performance wise the same as it does on petro-diesel. No loss of power that I can tell. The engine is more quiet at idle and it sounds different at startup, less of the rrrrrrrraaaaaaapppppppp sound. I am going to continue to run the commercialy made B99 until I get my operation up and going. I am going to change my fuel filters after this next tank and possibly cut open the old one's and see how gummed up and dirty they look. I hope to hear of more 6.0L powerstroke operaters out there running on Bio-D in the near future.

Good. The more 6.0 owners that report, the more they probably will. I could care less what Ford says about 5%, I think that's just a political issue.

Over here I can get my hands on B20 commercially at the pump. I've ran it all winter. Today I filled up the 6.0 with just dino diesel @ $2.79/gal, my fuel mileage went up 2MPG so far. I think the quality of the B20 I've been getting is either still a winter blend or just lacking quality.

By the end of this weekend I'll be able to fill up with Bio Willy when I make my way down to Dallas. Good smelling stuff.

Re: 6.0L Powerstroke running on B99

Just took a ride to FL from NY to visit Grandma. Started on B-50 and arived in FL running B-90. I probably am at about B-100 now for this tank full. Everything is good exept for the mileage in the new truck. Glad I'm not paying $2.70 a gallon. I wish I brought enough to make it all the way home to NY. My brother wants to start producing now, he runs a Freightliner for a living.

This is good to hear from other 6.0L PSD operaters running Bio-D. Hopefully we will have alot more of us reporting back here.
