Adding other oils to veggie
I read here or on another veggie forum about adding some mineral spirits to the used veggie oil. Others have talked about adding used tranny fluid and other oils of similar viscosity.
I'm kind of chicken about the mineral spirits for safety reasons as most mineral spirits have a 108 degree flashpoint. Diesel is usually up in the 175 to 180 degree range if I'm remembering correctly.
But, what about other solvents? I have a few drums of a high flash solvent (non halogenated) that might be a good additive to keep things cleaned out. I'm only thinking of adding a couple percent to the veggie. I know it has a good BTU and is a little thinner viscosity than regular diesel. I used to mix it with a another solvent similar to #1 diesel for a cleaning chemical I manufactured. After we used it to dissolve cosmoline off of new mild steel, we disposed of it as a waste fuel for burning in a boiler. They liked it because it helped dilute the Bunker C oil.
I will be installing a heated veggie tank and switching between dino and veggie. I will also have plenty of filtration in my system.

I don't know enough about the combustion requirements of the PSD to try it without hearing from some folks who know a lot more about fuel than me.
