Air bubbles in diesel lines

Hello,

I've been busy replacing fuel pumps and crawling around under my truck. I've notice lots of little bubbles in the fuel lines when I running diesel through clear hoses the bubbles are not there when running WVO. The stock fuel system for these truck returns fuel to tank so these bubbles are also returned. However I'm using a looped system so my truck must pass then through the injectors. I heard this is bad. Can someone give me an ideas on how to stop this bubble effect? Is it worn out seals in stock fuel line? Maybe the fuel pickup in the diesel tank? How big of a job is this to fix? How important?

thanks,

Did you ever fix this problem, or figure out what was causing it? I'm seeing a pretty similar problem with my factory tank after looping the return for a WVO conversion.

If not, or if anyone else is reading this, this might help: Read about the "Prepump and In-Tank Kit" on this page: Ford 7.3 Diesel Performance Fuel Delivery, Ron's Truck and Auto, Diesel Performance, San Diego

To eliminate air and water I recommend the CPR system from Dieselsite.com. I filter my wmo down to two microns and through water seprators. I put on the CPR system not only did this sytem eliminate air in the fuel system but it also removed even more water from my wmo.

7.3 owners should do the Hutch mod and eliminate the air entrainment at the fuel pickup plus eliminate the quick disconnects before the pump. These QDs leak air while under suction.

You can get a kit from ITP Diesel to fix both problems, easy to install, and comes with a pre-pump filter, which is good for a truck with only one fuel filter.

Good luck.
