anyone here of this www.dieselsecret.com CO?

I'm about to pick up my second Diesel and I'm wondering if this stuff will work or if its bunk. www.dieselsecret.com I have a 01 PSD that I'm trying to get some HP out of but I may consider a conversion to Bio if it does not hurt HP and preformance since I'm building a go fast truck. I do however have a commuter and since its Germain it's already approved for a B10 and soon to be B20 ratio. Let me know if this stuff works at all and is all its cracked up to be. I live in a cold climate so I probably won't operate more than a B50 rating in winter but in the spring, summer and fall I may look into B100. I'm not intrested in getting into chemistry now so I thought this may be a close alternative. If fule hit $3 again I may re-think becasue then my fule bill starts to look like a mortgage payment. Thanks

Re: anyone here of this www.dieselsecret.com CO?

Do a search on this in this forum. There is not enough data on this stuff as to what it does to your engine long term. You mix Kero, Gasonline, Cetaine boost, and thier "secret" together, run through 3 filters, one being a water filter. Basicly you are making a 75/25 blend. You can do this without thier secret stuff, and without paying 40 bucks for it. I am running a 75/25 blend of WVO/#2 in my truck right now. Depends on your climate, it stays warm here, I dont use a heater on my tank. In most peoples opinion, it is snake oil and not a good thing for your ride.......

WVO = Waste vegetable oil (dirty from the fryer).

I'm assuming that you filter it to remove particulate materials. Would it also make since to chill the oil to help remove some of the fatty solids. To be honest that last time I ran b10 I belw my HPOP off the side of my engine. It was like -15 with wind chill and I've stayed away since. May re-think if I can find/make it cheaper without having to store a bunch of stuff.

Re: anyone here of this www.dieselsecret.com CO?

75/25 Blend and B10 are not same thing. 75/25 Blend means 75% diesel mixed with 25% WVO (of course, filtered to remove unwanted debris/crud). B10 is 90% diesel mixed with 10% biodiesel.

In fact, biodiesel is better for engines than diesel due its better luberiation properties. Sorry about HPOP that it blew up, it is subjective to happen. Biodiesel have nothing to do with HPOP.

Re: anyone here of this www.dieselsecret.com CO?

I know it was just a cold day and it ticked me off I figure the pressure regulator got stuck closed and thus critical mass was reached. I've heard of many folks having issues and seeing something like 50K psi in the HPOP becasue of issues. As of Monady I'll have a new toy to put bio in and since it from Germany it rated to b10 in the states and b50 in Europe. I may look into some higher ratings but it's damn cold this year.
