Re: B20 fuel and the 7.3L

You can use B100 if you want. I did on my truck for a while and it was great. Just can't get it locally here since I moved.

Keep in mind that bio-diesel is a solvent, and will clean deposits out of your fuel system. You may have to change the next two fuel filters sooner than normal.

Re: B20 fuel and the 7.3L

I have run nothing but B20 for the last 60,000miles with no fuel related issues.

Re: B20 fuel and the 7.3L

I have been running mostly B100 in my 02 F250 7.3 for over 2 years now. I have also done the same for my 06 Dodge ( wife's truck, it's a sissy but its's still a diesel ) During the colder months I step it down to B50 and B25 depending ont the temperature. I have put 45,000 miles on the F250 with absolutely NOOOO problems. I also heat my house with the stuff...that's right B100 heated my whole house all winter. We use to keep the heat on 65-68 to conserve. This past winter we kept it on 75 and loved it. I have read a lot and heard about problems but for my part, I think as long as you are consistant with the mixing and washing then there probably won't be any problems. Also, I spoke to one of the service reps about it after my warranty ran out. He said that as long as it wasn't obvious, warranty work was warranty work and they really weren't concerned. I alway ran my tank down and filled up with regular petrol before I went in for service, but it was never an issue. But that's my local dealer...not all dealers are alike.
