Best place for filter

Where would the best place to put a canister filter with 1" openings(I think it was 5 or 20 micron). The WVO will be screen filtered twice before stored and settled and then pumped into the reactor with a harbor freights water pump. Should it be hardpiped between the 50 gal. drum and the reactor or between the reactor and wash barrel. I plan on using a fuel filter and pump for the final product. Thanks.
Matt
