I've been burning bio since the first of the year. Closest place to get it till now was above Nashville or down to Atlanta. McNutt oil in Knoxville finally has a couple of stations stocking various mixes. I stopped at the store in Loudon yesterday to get my first batch of b-100 from them. This is a soy based fuel. Smells a little different from the WVO bio I had been getting.
The price was 2.65 per gallon. A little steep but not too bad. I topped off with about 1/2 tank. Assuming this test goes well I will return next week with my 55 gallon drums and fill up. I use that to make a b-20 mix.
I wish someone would start carrying this in the Chattanooga area. At least I get to Knoxville on a fairly regular basis so getting more isn't a big deal.
Bio really makes a difference in the engine noise on the Dodge. I can't really tell a difference in the Ford but I think that is because the engine is a lot louder. I have a friend that has a new 6.0. We are going to run a tank in his to see if it gets quieter.
That's about it for now. Hopefully more people will get on the band wagon.
