Bio-Diesel maker in So cal area to help newbie?

I am looking for someone in the Southern California area that wouldn't mind me actually seeing the process of making Bio fuel firsthand. I promise not to take to much of your time. I have a 02 PSD 7.3 and I am a total newbie that doesn't want to pay $3.00 a gallon anymore! I'm also a landscape contractor and can I bring you some plants for about 30 minutes of your time?

Re: Bio-Diesel maker in So cal area to help newbie?

I run straight wasted vegetable oil in my TDI Jetta. It does go through a filtering process before it goes in my 2nd fuel tank.

You have probably seen Joel on the Learning Channel, but he is in Ojai and has training classes according to his website. I have not personally been to one, but I emailed them to sign up for a class since it's only 20 miles from my house.

Re: Bio-Diesel maker in So cal area to help newbie?

Same here!
I Live in Rancho Cucamonga and now have the time to set up a BioDiesel production rig, I plan on doing it (well, right after I finish some other projects)
Im interested if there is any BioDieselers around I could learn from.
Many Thanks!

Re: Bio-Diesel maker in So cal area to help newbie?

I live in AZ and would be willing to travel to So Ca for a class on BioD. I'd rather not make a conversion to my '05 F250 for resale purposes, but running BioD and learning to produce my own would be great.
