Bio Disel newbie questions

I have heard biodiesel is a lot cheaper and cleaner i have heard of people that run it but dont personally know anyone. Do you have to do any mods to your truck to run it? and where can you get it? can you run just strait vegetable oil or do have to add something to it.

Re: Bio Disel newbie questions

Bio-diesel requires no mods to run it, dont get Bio diesel and Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO or WVO) confused. SVO requires modification to be run correctly.

Re: Bio Disel newbie questions

i'm no biodiesel expert by any means, but i will chime in since the only responses you're getting seem to be unhelpful comments. first, check out the biodiesel faq thread at the top of the biodiesel forum. many of your questions will be answered there. second, there are many ways to run biodiesel, everything from buying processed biodiesel at a pump like any other diesel to making your own from oil to just pouring vegetable oil straight into your tank. again, read through the faq page and consider the options.
