Re: Biodiesel Cost in Seattle area??

This would be a good question to ask in our bio-Diesel forum.

There's an outfit up in arlington that was selling by the barrel.

They make their biodiesel from waste vegitable oil rather then vigin oil so pricing was much more reasonable.

They shutdown to revamp their production facility to ramp up for a higher production level.

FN74 was getting his raw oil from them before getting shipped over to the ashtray by uncle sam.

I have a call out to them to get status.

Here's the link to their website Donnelson Biodiesel

Re: Biodiesel Cost in Seattle area??

It's been $3.70 here on Bainbridge for B100.

By the way, for those who would like to get a bunch of info on biodiesel there is a major forum/meeting tomorrow (Saturday 3/19) in Seattle put on by the NW Biodiesel Network. I went last year and it is a good event with sort of wierd mix of people in attendance ranging from old green hippies, pick-up jockies (like us), government types, wacky home-brew engineers, etc. Look for my green/white '94 'stroke

Hope to see you there! - Bob

Re: Biodiesel Cost in Seattle area??

I get mine from Christopher Goodwin over at www.frybrid.com
He sells the same stuff as Doctor dan, but is more convinient to me. When it's available he sells Brandon's (donnelson bioidiesel) at cost as well.

Well, you guys forgot one key part. Its in HELLEVUE! Home of Bill the Gates and some of the most over priced plots of land in WA. Not to mention that disaster of a freeway 405. (singing in AC/DC voice: "Im on the highway to Bellevue...Im going Doo ow ow ownnnnn Foooour-OHhhhhh FiiiiiIIIIIiiiiiive" )

Anything sold in that neck of the woods has a 50% Snob Tax applied right off the top.

And home of Starbucks where a cup of coffee only costs $5...

I was born and raised in the pacific NW and I think its a crime what the cost of living has become there.
For now I guess I'll stay in Tx where everything is big and the dollar buys more.

Re: Biodiesel Cost in Seattle area??

I paid 2.06 today for diesel, we're not happy about the price either...

I just hope you guys in the NW don't get quotas like I did in the early '70's when we had lines for 5 blocks to the pump and 10 gallon fill up limits..and thats if you were lucky enough not to be behind the car that got tagged as "last car"

Time to start a co-op. The only problem is that most of you are on the other side of the water.
