Biodiesel source directory and warranty related questions

Anyone know of an internet site listing sources for biodiesel? I have not seen any biodiesel locally.

If I recall Ford manual correctly, engine is good for B5 only...I wouldn't want to wreck warranty.

Lastly, could a dealer tell proportion of biodiesel in your tank anyway without sending fuel off to lab for analysis?

You are correct B5 only by warranty

Clear answer probably. If it was badly made and they dip out a sample, and it should separation while in the garage they would know something was up. But, I believe only a lab could tell the concentration.

If you don't want to "wreck warrenty", make sure you check all the fuel you pump from any station in your area. You get any red dye in there & your "warrenty" is toast.

Ford (or any other manufacturer) can't control what you put in the fuel tank (and some of the posts I've seen are pretty stupid about what people want to dump in there), so they CYA - you put "bad fuel" in they don't pay for the repair (ANY bad fuel). The B-5 is a small enough quantity that if you get a bad batch of Bio, its probablly not going to muck stuff up too bad. If you use a good quality commercial fuel or are meticulous about your quality control, you'll be fine even up to B-100.

I've been runnig B-15 since new & within the last 3000 started using B-50. Truck runs better, smoother & quiter the more B I put in.

Remember, with Bio-D its like real estate - it all boils down to 3 things, quality, QUALITY & QUALITY.
