Can't find High Density Polyethylene conical tanks!!

All the conical bottom tanks I have been looking at are Medium Density material. Can I still use these or will they fall apart after awhile? I think the fittings have EPDM gaskets aslo. Will the gasket hold up? What do I need to look for when shopping for the hoses, fitting, etc. as far as materials that will hold up????

Thanks!!!!!!

Re: Can't find High Density Polyethylene conical tanks!!

I bought one of the MDPE tanks on usplastics.com. Ive only had one chance to do a batch of jelly......

It seems to have worked for me.

I think that if you drain the glycerine often at first, it will lessen the chance for problems.

Ill be doing another batch sometime soon with it, and this one better work out right.........
