anyone here think we need to retard injection timing while running b-20?because of the high cetane rating of b20 or b100.

If I want it fixed, I will have to rent a trailer, and take it ~50 miles away.
I will probably get it fixed within a few months though. Its just with these diesel prices, the TDI is the best car to drive. All I really ever used that car for was a short trip replacement driver for the TDI.
IIRC, It got somewhere around 28 mpg.
I would fix it myself, but the waterpump is off of the timing belt, and I dont do timing belts on interferance engines........
The main reason for retarding timing is to reduce the Nox emissions of B-100. I personally wouldn't bother messing with the timing until getting to B-50 on a regular basis.
As to the chip being able to do it ?????. Might check upstairs in the appropriate fourm for your engines perfomance mods, or the general questions?
