dirty oil/ biodiesel

Found a resturant that goes through around 20 gallons a week. ( 2 diffrent locations) but they wouldnt mind me to take their oil. I had asked if i could leave my own collection container outside so they could put it all in there and they didnt liek that idea. So im pullin out of their tank. Problem is its all comming out white milky. Is there any decent way to clean this? Or should i just find another source?

At what temperature are you collecting the oil? When it's cooler out the oil will cloud up.

Remember too, that if there is shortening in there, it will cloud up too. Dont sweat shortening, as it's just another fatty oil that can be converted to biodiesel.

I'm sure that if you warm it up, it will clear and you might want to check for water content by warming a sample on your stove and watching for small steam bubbles.
