Is there a better way to dry oil? Hell is there ANY way to dry WVO. Water heater will only hit 150. After heating and circulating all night (12 hours), vent hose was dry and not a drop out of it. Tested oil and still water logged. Gotta be a better way.
The more I know about biodiesel,
the less I know about biodiesel.

Are you getting your oil in cubies or are you pumping drums?
If in cubies let them settle and pour off only the floating clear oil.
If pumping drums NEVER collect from the bottom of the drum.
I use a Brisk Heat band heater from gordosales.com
To de-water I heat the drum to 150*F which is well insulated then let it cool slowly. Then I drain the water/sediment/sludge/fats from the bottom drain. I use the hot pan test to check my oil and it has always been dry.

I have yet to try this put it looks feasible and doable.

I've found that when my oil comes with alot of flour in it it holds on to water very well. Get the flour out and you have dry oil. I guess I'll put in a shameless plug for the dieselcraft centrifuge. The oil i get is the nastiest stuff there is in regards to flour but titrates well. When I first get the oil you can heat it up to around 160F and you can't even begin to see through the oil. If you try to make biodiesel with it it turns into sludge.
The oil is good condition once you get through all the flour and dries out really fast using the centrifuge. After just a couple hours the stuff looks like virigin oil again. To process it with the heater element on and the centrifuge pump going it comes out to 3 cents per gallon to purify the oil, and requires no settling time, i just pick it up, bring it home and start processing.
how much does a centrifuge cost? how many gallons are they capable of filtering with ease?
The small one is $299, the pump for it is around $500 I think, unless you make your own. The small one can do 55 gallons in two hours I think, the slightly bigger one can do 55 gallons in one hour and it's $499. The really large one can do 55 gallons in half an hour I think but it's price is way higher. Just do a search on google for dieselcraft.

I use a Spinner II and it was used of Fleabay. Whole setup, including motor, pump, centrifuge, hoses, was around $250. Gear pump was an old Roper used at Marathon (TAKE THAT, BIG OIL!!) and everything else was used.
I let my CF run a batch of 60gal for 9hours. It pumps 2.4gal/min at 90-95psi, leaving the immersion heater in the barrel the whole time
