Re: Ford's position on Bio-Diesel

Which is almost word for word the position of the INJECTOR MANUFACTURERS.

Ford can not control what we pour into our fuel tanks, so if you get a bad batch of ANY type of fuel - take it up with who sold or made the fuel.

Re: Ford's position on Bio-Diesel

What is your point or question?

I run just about anything (new and used motor oil, jet fuel, kerosene, diesel fuel, vegetable oil, any % of BioDiesel, Bacon grease and hydraulic oil) in my Powerstroke except gasoline. I have not had one problem. OH, forgot to mention that my fuel system is stock except for a fuel crossover line between heads.

Re: Ford's position on Bio-Diesel

Ford's position is what they call in legal circles as a CYA (cover your a$$).

In order from them paying out huge sums in warranty claims they state that they will not cover biodiesel concentrations more than 5%.

As stated before, they can cover the mechanical components, they can't and won't cover the fuel that's run through it.
