Free/Cheap Mil surplus in Colo - prime stuff for conversions...

Hey fellas,

A guy here in CO on another bb that I belong to is getting rid of a bunch of stuff, I figure that this is as good a forum as any for it to go into... PM me if you're interested in any of it and I'll get you in touch.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All,

My father-in-law just survived open-heart surg (5 by-passes!!!) last week and now he wants me to purge all his "stuff" in his backyard ...

I thought some of you could use these around your places, or in your volunteer activities with DU and Delta and the like ...

All of it comes from the DRMO at Fort Carson when that was open to civilians ...

here's a short rundown of what Joe is giving away and selling -- most of it is to GIVE AWAY and the selling stuff would be free to a charity or someone who would put it to good use (I have to put in that disclaimer as proof that I'm actually trying to sell the stuff -- in reality, I just want to get rid of it). Here goes:

1)10 KW military generator --110/220V single phase + 208 3-phase -- V-4 gas engine with a self starter, around ~350 hours on it -- we had it started a couple of months ago so it does run

2) He has 2 (count 'em) 2 400 gal army M149 water buffalos on trailers -- -- they are insulated and stainless steel on the inside --

3) He has a 20 ton bolster trailer if anyone needs to pull telephone poles or anything like that around

4) believe it or not, he has an army recovery vehicle -- Sully, I recall you saying your son was working those issues in teh USMC -- perhaps you need to get him one to practice with when he comes to visit -- this dang thing (from what I can tell) has a 3.5 ton chain horse and an overhead crane system.

5) He has three different military welders -- what i know about welders you can put in a thimble, so PM and I'll try to get more information for you

6) 1955 Chevy P/U body -- been there so long it's got trees growing in the bed ...

7) 1 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Body with stuff in it

1 jeep Pickup

If any of you all are intersted in this, drop me a PM -- the goal is to get rid of this stuff (actually, to me another s-word comes to mind) ASAP, before I bolt for Korea and leave it for my wife to handle.
