How long does Veggie oil Keep?

I've had about 50 gallons of 50:50 WVO and diesel sitting around in my tank for a year now and was wondering if it is still good or does it spoil/grow algae in it?

Depends on alot of things. If it could get light, if it had water in it, how hot it was while it was sitting... etc. Only way to know is pull some out and look at it.

I would be more afraid that the two would separate and have a layer of WVO, and a layer of diesel.
The additives in the dinodiesel should add some protection to the WVO while they are mixed. If they separate.....

I'd siphon the tank and see what it looks like. You may want to reheat, de-water, re-filter then add a biocide. Vegoil once de-watered can last a year or more if stored in an air tight container and out of sunlight.

How long does strait WVO keep? I have a line on some, but havent done the conversion yet. I figure I may as well get ahead on my supply. So, I plan to get the WVO in 55 gal drums, and store it behind my shop. If it cant get air, will it keep OK? Should I wash / filter it before I store it? Any good links on filtering and washing etc? I am just getting my feet wet on the whole WVO thing

Dry oil (fully de-watered) will last up to a year if stored in an air tight container in a cool dark place. Bacteria in the water portion of the oil with heat makes WVO rancid so yes filter, de-water and store the sealed container inside. Adding a biocide is always a good idea for long term storage.
