how to prime cummins diesel

I have a mercedes 300td that has a primer pump right at the injectors. How do you set up a priming system for an old dodge diesel with no primer at the injectors?

any other advice on a veggie system for an 89 dodge cummins would be helpful... i have done one home conversion on the mercedes but this is a different system....Tapping into coolant lines? Hooking up a six port switch?

on the 93-02 dodge diesels you need to back off 2 of the injector lines and crank the motor to purge air out of the system.

not sure if I answered your question.

on all of the 5.9's that i work on has a cam operated fuel pump on the left side of the engine. On that pump there is hand operated pump that will help? I use compressed air (50 lbs in the fuel tank) to help prime if your pump is weak.
