Re: hydrogen fuel injection

I think you goofed again. There's still no link.

Try it again or put the whole address down. I'm interested in reading more about this myself.

Thanks,

Wayne

Re: hydrogen fuel injection

It uses 4 kg of water per 10,000 km?
That's 5 grams of hydrogen per hour.

I find it incredible to suggest that mixing 5-10 parts per million of hydrogen with the incoming air would have any effect at all, let alone 10% fuel savings.

Re: hydrogen fuel injection

H2O - did anyone notice where the 'o' got to? ( couldnt find any reference on their website as to whats done with the oxygen molecule from the water) I'm wondering if its also introduced into the incoming air stream to give a more compelte burn ? (again - would that low of a volume be enough to notice ??)

probably not worth asking, but what would happen to the combustion pressures ( and hence power output) if WATER was introduced in controlled minute quantities? higher chamber pressures as it turns to steam? cooler egts? higher gas flows through the turbo? on gassers its used to control detonation problems...but the % is so low in this setup

Re: hydrogen fuel injection

sounds similar to methanol/water injection systems. There are a few companies out right now selling these bolt on meth/water systems for around $400-$600 and it is a 50/50 mix of h2o and methanol. Just my .02

If you wanted to inject a water-methanol solution, you could run another hose from the windshield washer for a lot less than $400-$600.

A 12-liter truck engine will suck in about 800 kg of air per hour; the CHEC HFI hydrogen injection system will liberate about 0.04 kg of oxygen per hour.

You'd experience more variation in oxygen concentration driving from the forest to the city and back.
