Hydrogen Generators

Has anyone tried these hydrogen generators for better fuel mileage

theoretically, yes, financially humm....??

I don't think anyone had device a way to harness H using less energy than the energy in H itself.

They do not increase fuel economy.
Hydrogen?

i built 2 separate cells routed together , they are on the truck now ,gas enters after the airfilter , but so far i have not seen any increase in millage ,hand calculated . i see some people on u tube with diesels ,claiming large percentage increase ,but using digital meters .

Wow, that was a read. Did everyone kiss and makeup. Why does the discussion of alternative fuels always have to resemble the passion/hatred of an abortion rally?

I've read some pretty outrageous claims, and some very detailed descriptions of operation and benefit. I think it's possible to get a gain in economy.
But, for my vehicle (03' 6.0), I don't know. I say this because of a statement made on an eBay add saying that the 6.0 and 7.3 two part fuel injection caused no real gain in fuel economy.
The last time I asked about the two part injection I got no answer.

im still trying , thereis a guy on utube- made a very nice setup lots of gas ,claims to have went from 12.5 city to 17 .5 i asked if that was on a digital meter or hand calc. he ansered by saying i have to have a map sensor controller . although at this point he does not have one , so yeah digo-liar , he later claimed to drive 50 miles and used 2 gallons for 25 mpg . 50 miles ? how about 400 miles 2 or 3 times ? some other clown was selling some micky mouse set up and showed on his digo-liar he was getting 50 mpg on his dormax, ...give me a #@%$ break ... i installed a amp meter yesterday and was only drawing 10 amps ,so that leaves room for more electrolite = more gas , and maybe an increase in mpg looking to increase the amps to 30 and see what the results are

mark kov . just to play the devils advocate here -so to speak . whats your opinion on the effect of introducing hydrogen gas into the intake air stream in relation to the map sensor ? it seems to make sense that if the hydrogen was to lower the pressure the map sensor would singal less fuel ? not more ?

There answers are all here: Hydrogen?
How would hydrogen lower the intake pressure? This must be some magic gas. It does things I never learned about in my chemistry classes.

lets see lighter than air ? okay so hydro gas displacing some air , no change in pressure.no need to mess with the map sensor i can see you went to chem class , is that why you answer a question with a question ? or is cause you dont have a clue ?

Play nice or this one will get locked also. No insults or baiting. If you have a question or can answer a question, good. If not, don't post.

...shrug....

I installed Jody's tuner chip.... on 80e setting my mileage went from 17 to 23mpg.

If you are looking for a 25pct increase, there it is.

Where are people introducing the HHO? Is it just after the intake or after the intercooler at the intake elbow? Would that make any diff?

On-board hydrogen generators have no effect on fuel economy, so where you connect a hydrogen generator has no effect on fuel economy.

If you hook one up anywhere between the turbocharger outlet and the intake valves, (of a Diesel engine) the higher-than-atmospheric manifold pressure will cause fresh air to flow back into the hydrogen generator and no hydrogen will get into the engine. If ever you see one hooked up to the high-pressure side of the turbocharger, you can be absolutely certain that something else is responsible for improved fuel consumption claims.

Does this refer to gas or Diesel engines? I didn't know Diesel-engine fuel-control strategies used intake manifold pressure when they calculate how much fuel to deliver.
