i have a 93 7.3 non turbo. i like it... no i love this truck. when i first got it i was getting 14 mpg town and 20mpg hwy. when changed to a 50/50 waste oil to diesel mix it shot through the roof. no lie like 26mpg+ hwy and 20 town. is that what is happening to everyone else?
I got substantial gains when I put in my W85 chip.

DP-Tuner has a chip designed to burn W85. I do not know how that would work with your 93 IDI but I'm sure they would be glad to tell you. I have heard great things about the old IDI engines and they seem to work with W85 very well. I had one before I got into WMO and loved it. Google DP-Tuner and you should not have any trouble finding them.
Up date your signature so we know what your truck is and we can do a better job of advising you on what you might need.

I can tell you without you having to ask them..IT WON'T since the IDI doesn't have a PCM..only thing close to a computer on the IDI is the TCM if you have an E4OD transmission, and the ABS module if you have RABS.

I get a little less mileage on WMO, but I quit caring since it is so cheap.
trust me i was double and triple checking. what i do is fill it to the top. that means the cap is touching fuel. and after going 150 miles i went to top it off with the fuel i brought with me. i did not get a full 5 gallons back into it before it was back full. open highway driving i get 30 not hauling and 24 pulling my gutter trailer. in town is 20mpg either way.

The IDI guys would advance their timing a few degrees for WMO - that's where we got the idea to go to Jody and ask him to do some programming for us computer dependent guys. We tested four different variants and came up with one that ran the best with the least smoke.

FWIW my 93 cummins was getting about 13 mph pullin about 18k @ 65 mph.I ran a tank half WMO with 10% RUG mixed with half tank of D2 pulled the same load to the same place runnin 65 mph and got 16 mpg.
I just swapped in new inj. and bumped up to the bosch 190's about 30RWHP increase im told through PDR.The truck runs strong! big improvment...im going to do some tuning on D2 then run the full on W85 and see what I get out of her.
The 93 cummins is a rotary pump no computers,Ive bypassed the PCM.
I know you guy are Ford dudes and my experiance with the cummins may not help you guys...I hope Y'll will tolerate my piece of Dodge jabber,I come here cause the knowledge, experiance with the W85 is the best here!
Why not,run in highway at 90 km/h or 2000-2300 rpm CONSTANT and bingo.
Years ago (20 I think)old opel test on highway in Eu on 2000 km for 60 km/h and they get ~4 lit/100km.it`s carb model, tricky 60km on highway but they get VW Lopo mpg.
