Michigan biodiesel get-together around Aug 18th in Saginaw?

We're talking about having a biodiesel get-together (just a dinner outing) around August 18 or 17th in Saginaw, on one of the evenings during a biodiesel class at SVSU.

There's actually a Michigan biodiesel forum at biodieselnow, and I"m talking to a couple of people about starting a Michigan biodiesel Yahoogroup- so part of the point of this meetup is to get biodiesel people in the area connected that way as well. There's a lot of you guys there in the state.

Here's the Michigan forum thread about the dinner:

Re: Michigan biodiesel get-together around Aug 18th in Saginaw?

Also---

I just started a Michigan biodiesel/SVO yahoo list with a couple of local Michigan folks claiming that they'll co-moderate.

Basically, after my 2004 trip up to the Midwest (I was teaching classes in homebrewing), at least one local list started out of one of the classes (it's the list for the Chicagoland/WI/IL area- to subscribe to it, send an email to biodiesel-subscribe@v2b.org)- and I think it'll be beneficial to take advantage of the next round of classes I'm teaching there to start a Michigan list. There are a BUNCH of experienced biodieselers up there, but I get the feeling that they're scattered all over the state, quite a few of them busy with farming- and not really in contact.

We're having a biodiesel barbeque/get-together this weekend on Friday night, too, maybe that could be the start of something that happens on a regular basis?

If you're interested, please join and introduce yourself:
www.groups.yahoo.com/group/michiganbiofuels

Let me or Bill Koucky know if you'd like to co-moderate with him, too. I can help you figure out the ropes on Yahoo's system for this, it's not much work.

contact me via email for this, not PM: girlmark_list_email@localb100.com

Would the BBQ be powered by biodiesel?
